Before you start writing, you ought to start reading. This page links to two other pages that contain some of my favorite writers of mysteries that are set in the vintage eras from 1900 or so through the 1950s. One page is devoted to mysteries and thrillers written during my favorite time periods, while the other is dedicated to mysteries and thrillers set during those time periods but written by contemporary authors. I’ve included brief reviews with each entry, references to films made from some of the movies, lists of books I’m aware of by the authors, and relevant links where possible. Please enjoy. Let me know of any favorites you think I have missed. Please share some of your own experiences with and thoughts about these authors. But keep it clean! Rosalind is watching you!
